Description
The Congresso Nacional Do Brazil (National Congress of Brazil) was designed by Oscar Niemeyer to house the Brazilian Parliament In Brasilia, a planned city of which Oscar Niemeyer and Lucio Costa were the principal architects and designers. Strongly influenced by Le Corbusier, his buildings have the quality of modern minimalist sculpture. The building features a semispherical dome which houses the Senate and a semispherical bowl shape that houses the Chamber of Deputies, as well as two towers that contain administrative offices.
